Manchester Metropolitan University Research Project

February 2023

Over the last few months we’ve been working with Leila, a final year Manchester Metropolitan student who has joined us on a Q-Step in the Community placement to gather data that will help to inform the work that happens across East Manchester.

Leila is trying to research the number of people volunteering across Ancoats & Beswick and Clayton & Openshaw, looking at the types of projects people volunteer for and their motivations to give back. The research will support us all to boost volunteering in our neighbourhoods by better understanding the changing behaviours towards being active in the community.

If you run or volunteer at any local project or organisation, no matter how big or small, it'd be a massive support to us if you could please complete the survey and share amongst your volunteer networks so we can get as big a sample size as we can.

The Volunteering Survey will only take around 2 minutes to complete and all respondents will be put into a draw to win a £15 Amazon voucher as a thank you for your time.

We can also share the findings with you to help inform your work.
